It's official...
I am addicted to facebook. I haven't felt this vulnerable or exposed since high school. Why? Quite simply, once you create an account, you see people that you've known over the years. You're given the option to request people as friends. This is where it gets a little scary. Your friend request is either rejected or accepted. Who wants to be rejected? Even though the many of people I've been fortunate enough to "friend" are people that I would have called friends when life's pursuits did not distance us, it's a bit daunting. On the other hand, it's refreshing to see that the people I've known through the years are faring well, having children, and all grown up.
In a time when we're apt to feel isolated and alone for a myriad or reasons, it's amazing how reconnecting with people from the past can lift the spirits. It reminds me that we're not just randomly here without reason. Instead, we're all meant to intersect affect one another. OK.....I'm off to that 12 Step Facebook Meeting now. :)
